A Message From The President
Thompson Gear and Machine Company - formerly Lindsay Machine Co. - was founded in 1971 by the present owner, and a then partner. Operations started in a 500 sq ft building, actually a garage, with two machine tools and some sundry auxiliary equipment. Today we occupy over 6000 sq. ft. of floor space, with a total compliment of over 40 machine tools. In addition to the common tools found in a general machine shop, we also have a gear manufacturing facility, capable of manufacturing various types of gearing such as external splines, splined shafts, internal splines, bevels, spur gears, bull gears and others.
This growth has been accomplished because of our commitment to producing the highest quality product and to providing superior service in a cost effective manner. I must thank our employees who are dedicated to this philosophy, and to our loyal customers who supported us through the years. To those who know us we say "thank you", to our potentially new customers we only ask that you give us an opportunity to quote your requirements. Our performance will dictate our ability to include you in our list of satisfied customers.
